Windsor Primary School
The Wishing Tree Project took place at Winsor Primary School in 2014. The school developed their values and vision based on a key text called, “The Wishing Tree.” The whole school spent the week creating wishes for themselves, the school community took part in creating wishes for their children, for the school and for the children’s futures. The premise of the book is about a boy who goes to make wishes at the wishing tree every year. As a school we then created our own year group wishing trees based on the values the school chose. The trees now stand at the front of the school to represent the values of our school community. Work has been done since to develop the values and vision of the school further.
